1. Despite what are written elsewhere in this blog or related blogs, we can never be sure who the ancestors of the Kadazans were. Some say they came from Yunnan.
2. History books state that ancient people migrated from place to place. It is said that migrations to the countries of present-day Southeast Asia occurred before the Second Ice Age. It could be true that people migrated to these places some 11,500 - 21,000 years ago.
3. In 1958, Tom and Barbara Harrisson discovered "Deep Skull" of a homo sapiens in the Niah Caves, Baram in Sarawak. Carbon dating put the age at 37,000 years. This clearly shows that there were indigenous people living on the Island of Borneo long before the end of the Second Ice Age.
4. In his book, P. S. Shim wrote that the Kadazandusuns came from Baram about a thousand years ago. Some settled in the Kimanis-Papar plains, some in Kuala Penyu, some in Tuaran, some in Putatan-Penampang plains while the biggest group migrated to Tampios, near the foot of Mount Kinabalu. Some Kadazans doubt Shim's theory.
5. There is a strong possibility that these indigenous people were descendants of "Deep Skull". Some experts may be able to shed more lights into this possibility.
6. If these Bornean indigenous racial groups were descended from "Deep Skull", there can be no doubt that the Kadazandusun people and the rest of the natives of Borneo had always been here since 37,000 years ago or even longer.
7. This is the ONLY conclusion unless evidence to the contrary is discovered and accepted as correct.
